Life is a Puzzle

Be a Social Superhero [Solve our life’s puzzles together]

Today I have been at Social Media Club and a TweetUp in Gothenburg. Then I finished of by seeing Iron Man 3 with my best friend Tom.

The Social Media Club in Gothenburg is driven by @MikuMaria and it’s a fantastic way to meet & greet social people and discuss interesting topics during the lunch hour. Everyone is exceedingly open and friendly just like at the Unconferences WebCoast and SSWC.

Build your personal brand online [Have a Strategy behind your actions]

The subject of today’s Social Media Club was How to use Social Media to get a new Job. It’s a very interesting subject as I am in need of new job my self. Moderator is Johannes Sundlo.

Some key points:

  • Set up a Strategy for what you want and can do.
  • Everything you do in Social Media. Especially in the public ones. Adds up to your personal brand online. The Story about you.
  • Staying on a job should be an active choice every day.
  • Be yourself. We are all humans.
  • Check out what your target job places are doing. Try to find common ground with them.
  • Contact your target personally by phone or direct contact.

Tweeeet, Meeeet and Haaaangout

After a very relaxing Energy Consultation and Massage at Energikällan, it was time for a TweetUp. A Tweetup is an event where people who speak on Twitter come together to meet in person. Usually it’s a very social event with people who really want to get together and chat about life in general or a specific subject that they have previously talked about online. Never pass up the chance to be social. This is how we build our new Network Society.

I have also been doing some Google Hangouts lately. This is great way to discuss an interesting subject online with people who you can’t meet in person with at the moment. It can be done at home with your favorite device or on the move somewhere with a decent internet connection. Video can be turned of if the bandwidth is too low. I do a regular Hangout with Johan Lange where we check in about how our life plans are going towards a “Leaner” tomorrow 🙂

Try to find others online that you want to talk to and invite them to join a Hangout.

IRON-MAN-3

Weld me together [All my parts must interconnect]

The evening finale took place in Never Never Land. The latest of Marvel’s movies is Iron Man 3. As you can tell from my blog I am a big Marvel Fan. The Avengers was my favorite Movie from 2012 and I’m a big fan of Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. So I really had my hopes up for this movie. Tony Stark represents the Super Maker and Tinkerer we all look up to, part of him based on Elon Musk. It is far from a perfect Movie, but it does provide some thoughts about pursuing a True Purpose in life.

Find an Honorable path and stay True to it’s Purpose

Solve our life’s puzzles together [No one is alone anymore]

Life is a puzzle. I need you to put my pieces together and I will help you solve your puzzle. We don’t have to go through life’s journey alone. Start hooking up online in Social Media. Create places like Tweetups and Hangouts where you can meet and discuss life’s challenges and opportunities together. No one is alone anymore.

Let’s be Social Superheroes!

Do you want to get an Epiphany? #Blogg100

Chance favors the connected mind [Keep on blogging]

Been listening again to Where Ideas Come From from TED Radio Hour featuring Matt Ridley, Susan Cain and Steven Johnson.

How does innovation happen?

Some key points:
1. We all need each other’s skills. Nobody knows how to make anything today. The one man society doesn’t exist anymore. We all depend on others to do there part in this giant bee hive of ours.

2. Creativity comes from Coffee houses. Where people with different backgrounds and different ways of thinking meet up. Before coffee houses happened in Europe we where all drunk all day. This is where Ideas can have sex. Our modern Coffee houses is Unconferences like WebCoast and Sweden Social Web Camp. And Tweetups and Social Media Clubs.

Chance favors the connected mind

3. Go to the wilderness and be alone in your own head. Then write down your ideas. We must brainstorm and think in solitude.  To come up with hunches to bring to this coffee houses. Darwin wrote down every idea and hunch he had in his note book. So long before he had his Epiphany he had been blogging all along. It’s called Journaling and helps your brain with it’s thought process. Leonardo da Vinci did it too.

4. Share your ideas. It is easy to spread good ideas and hard to spread bad ideas. So keep on sharing! Sunlight is a great disinfectant! Do good shit alone and together using Sustainability, Collaboration, Transparency and Community.

Keep on writing down all your thoughts and blog about them and your Epiphany will come 🙂

The Game for the Future #Blogg100

#081 [LXXXI]
The Future is a co-op game we all can play and win!

I have done lots of stuff today that I have weaved together in this tapestry.

A Game of Future

I have been listening to Framtidskommissionens [The Future Commission] discussion about reducing the carbon footprint of Sweden. It was a lot of talk about economic growth and GNP. First we need to switch ways to how to measure progress.

They way we measure progress and the goals we set for our future will indirectly influence all people. Like in a boardgame we must assign victory points for goals that are actually worth achieving. And use economic incentive to achieve them. Take it from us boardgamers. We know all about recourse allocation, min-maxing, logistics and worker action placement to maximizing our score in whatever game we are playing.

If there is a way to get points (Read status and power) for something, we will do our utmost to maximize those points. Today many play the game of money. We don’t care how we get them as long as we get more of them.

Let’s design a better game for the future where we get points and money for doing the right thing.

The Future is a co-op game we all can play and win!

Smile Littlefinger, Smalie!

Smile Littlefinger, Smile!

“The night is dark and full of terrors”

Still the best show there is! Watched episode 4 of season 2 again as it aired on Swedish Television tonight. Littlefinger tries so hard to achieve his goals when he plays A Game of Thrones.

The Game for the Future will be triggered by either a crusade or a crisis. We can make the choice. Or we can just wait for more crises and catastrophes to pile up. Then our only choice is to re-act.

Let’s act now and re-design our own future.

Learning to play

Tonight I have been watching some gameplay walkthroughs to 3 new games I have gotten and are going to play this weekend.

Clash of Cultures

I really like that this civilization game doesn’t go into the the modern age. No civilization survives that long. Sid Meyers tried killing of civilizations in the first civilization game. No gamers could accept it so they removed it in the first computergame. Really looking forward to this. It’s in the Mail.

Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the Cursed Island

This is a really hard co-op game that most people haven’t won yet. I’m up for the Challenge to just survive on this Island.

Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery

Making pacts, closed fist auctions and then backstabbing. Sounds like something you only should do in a game (and maybe real politics).

Travel with Social Media Club?

Next Friday I will help moderate Social Media Club in Gothenburg. The subject is Social Media in Public Transport.
I have written some discussion points in Swedish. Now updated with @MikuMaria

Via WiFi i lokaltrafiken utan att checka in?
Kan du alltid se dina barn?
Vill vi ens veta allt det här i framtiden eller är det nu när tekniken är ny som vi är nyfikna?
